ABOUT

Michel van den Eeckhout was born on June 29, 1959 in Amsterdam. His father, a woodworking teacher at a high school, gave him a taste for this material. From his adolescence he began to paint with different techniques. After a short stint at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, with a solid training as a carpenter, he devotes himself more and more to three-dimensional art. At the same time, he earns his living by restoring several old houses in France, leaving each one with his own personal touch. Since 1990, he has settled with his family in the Hautes-Pyrénées.
